Frankoma Medicine Man, No. 115, White Sand, Sapulpa Clay. White Sand matches the mid-70s era. The bottom is incised Frankoma 115 with what looks like a circle O. The figure is 8" H x 4-1/2" W. BlueEagle is incised on the back just above the base. Blue Eagle referred to the artist Acee Blue Eagle who did some work for Frankoma. He was a Pawnee-Creek Indian well-known for his Indian paintings. Medicine Man was one of only two of his ceramics he allowed to be sold. Schiffer Book for Collectors by Phyllis and Tom Bess (copyright 1995) stated that Acee Blue Eagle designed the Medicine Man figurine. The figure has quite a bit of crazing, some small blue marks and some pinholes. No chips or cracks. Cash Only
